Death Cab For Cutie - Meet Me On The Equinox (removed by request)

We don't often review soundtrack albums, because they are generally dead tracks artists kept in the vault, which can be pretty scary, but fitting for a vampire flick. This one got our attention with all new songs by hot indie acts, even if many of these tracks, like our movie characters, probably shouldn't see the light of day. One thing we can say is Patsavas sequenced it about right starting with the meatier tunes of Death Cab For Cutie, who touch seems to be gold these days, Band of Skulls with their chugging buddy rocker and Thom Yorke's moody, but powerful percussion piece. Following that lead off, Lykke Li and The Killers contribute lively tunes, although perhaps not fully fleshed out. The quality, like a new moon, wanes after that, Grizzly Bear copiously samples Band of Horses Funeral and both the OK Go and Editors tracks are D.O.A. Still, this soundtrack album doesn't "suck" like the majority of them.
